The All We Need to Know Podcast

Your Travel Guide for the Bumpy Road of Life

SERIES V: You & Me & We

Acknowledging that we live in an entirely interconnected world, we can therefore recognize that life in all forms arises from and depends on relationships. Throughout the first four series of the All We Need to Know podcast we have focused on relationships, centrally: our relationship with the physical world, with our cultural world, and between Self and Mind. And we’ve seen how those relationships shape our beliefs and perceptions and, thus, our decisions, and, thus, our life experience (and vice versa!).

In Series V, Jonathan turns our attention to our human relationships beginning with our relationship with our Self, touching on such topics as our sense of self, self-awareness, self-compassion, and, the “wholey grail” — unconditional self-acceptance and love.

You & Me & We then moves on to explore primary relationships — with family and friends, daringly considering the intertwined roses and thorns of romantic relationships and even that most challenging of all relationships — marriage.

Stepping out into society, we give thought to humanism, exploring topics like kindness, altruism, gratitude, empathy, compassion, and trust and also consider the practicalities of collaboration and communication.

Ultimately, Jonathan guides us to give thought to our role in, that is, our relationship with, society — the Social Contract. We take note of the necessities, requirements, and essential benefits of community and our obligations as a “Citizen of the Universe.”

In closing we revisit The Four Essential Questions and take stock of our answers so far, and we connect the various dots from all five series that coalesce to create the Mindset elements of AdeptAbility before moving on to Series VI where we pour the foundation of Adeptability’s Skillsets component.
